Neoadjuvant immunotherapy plus chemotherapy in locally advanced stage III NSCLC patients undergoing definitive chemo-radiotherapy---a real‑world multicenter retrospective study.
Summary: Lung cancer is tough to treat. Usually, doctors give radiation and chemotherapy first, and then add immune-boosting drugs later. But what if we give the immune drugs before the radiation? A new study looked at over 460 patients to find out. It discovered that giving immune drugs first helped patients live much longer without their cancer growing. In fact, it worked much better than the standard way, and it was just as safe for the lungs. This is a very promising new way to fight lung cancer and helps patients live longer, healthier lives.
