Neuromagnetic evidence of the foot primary somatosensory area in the frontal cortex.
Summary: Did you know the brain map for your foot is in a different neighborhood than the map for your hand? Scientists used to think the brain's touch center for the foot was in the back part of the brain (the parietal lobe), just like the hand. But by using special magnets to track brain waves, they found a surprise! The foot's touch center is actually in the front part of the brain (the frontal cortex). This means we can't just guess how the foot works based on how the hand works.
