Nitrogen additive with extruded urea with essential oils to control gastrointestinal worms in lambs.
Summary: Imagine feeding sheep a mix of garlic and cinnamon to keep them healthy! Scientists tested a special food add-in made of nitrogen and these tasty plant oils to see if it could fight off stomach worms in young sheep. They put 14 male sheep in a grassy area known to have worms. Half got normal food, and half got the special garlic-cinnamon mix.
The results? The sheep eating the special mix had fewer worms in their system! However, they did not gain weight as fast as the sheep eating normal food. Still, this natural plant mix shows great promise as a chemical-free way to help treat worm infections in farm animals.
