No Link Found Between Childhood Atopic Dermatitis and Markers of Cardiovascular Risk

Summary: Good news for parents! A large study looked at over 9,000 kids to see if childhood eczema (atopic dermatitis) causes heart problems later in life. The results? There is no link between childhood eczema and heart risk. Even if the eczema is severe, kids' hearts are safe, and they don't need extra heart screenings just because of their skin. (Note: One researcher did have ties to the drug industry, but the findings are clear).
