Optimizing acute ischemic stroke outcome prediction by integrating radiomics features of DSC-PWI and perfusion parameter maps.

Summary: When someone has a stroke, doctors need to know how well they might recover to give them the best care. Usually, doctors look at brain scans to check blood flow. In this study, scientists found a new way to look at these scans. They used smart computer programs to study special pictures taken at three exact moments during the scan. By combining these new pictures with the usual blood flow data, the computer could predict the patient's recovery much better than before! This helps doctors make smarter choices to save lives.
