Optimizing Domain Structure and Switching Behavior via Tailoring Lattice Stress Distribution to Maximize Electrostrain in BF-BT Ceramics.
Summary: Scientists are making new materials that change shape when you add electricity. Usually, the best materials for this have lead in them, which is bad for the environment. This study looks at a safe, lead-free mix called BF-BT. By carefully changing the stress inside the material's tiny building blocks, they made it much easier for the material to shift and stretch. This means we get a bigger shape change without using harmful lead!
