Oscars Security: Police Dogs On Red Carpet, Choppers Above Dolby & A Sense We’ve Seen This Movie Before
Summary: The 2026 Oscars have turned Hollywood Boulevard into a giant fortress! To keep everyone safe at the Dolby Theater, police set up a one-mile gated zone where every single car is searched from top to bottom. Security is extra tight this year because of an FBI warning about possible Iranian drone attacks on the California coast.
Even with the scary news, police say this heavy security is actually pretty normal for the big night. Behind the scenes, high-tech systems and SWAT teams are watching everything. Out in the open, stars walking the red carpet are sharing the spotlight with police dogs, while helicopters and a Goodyear blimp circle above. Guests heading in to see host Conan O'Brien were told to arrive early to avoid running late. While some attendees totally understand the need for safety, others just texted friends to complain about the traffic!
