Ottawa puts $200M into space launch pad in Nova Scotia

Summary: Canada is finally getting its very own space launch pad! The government is spending $200 million over the next ten years to rent a launch pad near Canso, Nova Scotia. Right now, Canada has to ask the United States for a ride whenever it wants to send satellites into space. Defence Minister David McGuinty says this new plan will help build up Canada's own defence industry. The only funny part? We have a shiny new launch pad, but there are no plans yet to actually build a rocket!
