Paediatric traumatic brain injury: unique population and unique challenges.

Summary: Brain injuries in kids are a leading cause of death and disability worldwide. Because children are still growing, their brains react differently to injuries than adult brains do. Doctors are finding new ways to test and track these injuries using blood tests and brain scans. However, we still need better treatments. This review looks at what we know right now and what research is needed to help kids heal better in the future.
