Parents of Children, Teens Unaware of Minimum Legal Age for Tobacco

Summary: Most parents of tweens and teens don't know the legal age to buy tobacco, vapes, and nicotine pouches. A new study shows less than half of parents know the legal age is 21. Instead, most parents incorrectly guessed the age was 18. However, over 80% of parents correctly knew the drinking age is 21. Doctors and nurses are now being asked to help teach families about these rules to keep kids safe. Interestingly, one of the researchers is actually a paid expert who fights against the e-cigarette industry in court!
