Summary: Scientists recently looked closely at a plant and found 30 different natural chemicals hidden inside it. Amazingly, 13 of these are brand new to science! These special chemicals, called "phenolic glycosides," are naturally made by plants and can often be really good for our health. Finding new compounds like these helps researchers understand how plants protect themselves and gives us new ingredients that might be used to make helpful medicines in the future.
