Pirtobrutinib Combo Regimen Improves PFS in Relapsed or Refractory CLL/SLL
Summary: A new study shows that adding a drug called pirtobrutinib (Jaypirca) to a standard treatment helps patients with certain blood cancers live longer without their disease getting worse. The trial looked at patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) or small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL) whose cancer had returned. Patients who took the new three-drug combo had much better results than those taking just the standard two drugs. The treatment was also safe, with low drop-out rates. This gives doctors and patients a powerful new option to fight these cancers.
