Prevalence of Ocular Allergy Among High School Children in Trinidad and Tobago: A Cross-Sectional Study.
Summary: Eye allergies are a big problem around the world, especially for kids. In Trinidad and Tobago, the dusty air from the Sahara Desert makes it even worse. Doctors tested 420 high school students to see how many had itchy, red, or watery eyes. They found that almost half of the students (49%) had eye allergies! This is much higher than in other parts of the world. The study shows that schools and doctors need to work together to find and treat these allergies early so kids can feel better and focus on learning.
