Psychological effects of virtual reality intervention on breast cancer patients with different personalities: A randomized controlled trial.

Summary: Getting treated for breast cancer can be very stressful and scary. This is especially true for people who have a "Type D" personality, meaning they often feel worried or sad but hide their feelings from others. Doctors wanted to see if using Virtual Reality (VR) headsets could help these patients feel better. They did a study with 85 breast cancer patients. Half of the patients used VR, and the other half did not. The study found that VR is a safe and helpful way to lower negative feelings, especially for those with a Type D personality.
