Radiofrequency ablation for symptomatic, non-functioning thyroid nodules: a single-center retrospective observational study.
Summary: Imagine having a lump in your neck that bothers you, but you don't want to go through surgery to remove it. This study looked at a treatment called radiofrequency ablation (RFA), which uses heat to safely shrink these lumps, known as thyroid nodules. Doctors checked on patients for a full year after the treatment. They found that the lumps kept getting smaller and smaller as time went on, with the best results seen at the 12-month mark. The treatment was very safe and worked really well, making it a great option for people who want to avoid traditional surgery for their neck lumps.
