Re-Thinking the Urban Biotic Homogenization Hypothesis.
Summary: For a long time, scientists thought that building cities made all nature look exactly the same—an idea called "Urban Biotic Homogenization." But looking closer, this isn't always true! In fact, only half of the studies agree with it. Cities actually have many different types of nature because of how people manage their yards, parks, and neighborhoods. Instead of making everything the same, cities can actually create a wide variety of plant and animal life. It's time to rethink how we see nature in our cities and celebrate the unique habitats they create!
