Real-world effectiveness and safety of treatment strategies for unresectable, driver-negative Stage III NSCLC: A retrospective multicentre study.
Summary: Imagine you have a tough type of lung cancer that cannot be removed with surgery. The standard treatment is a mix of chemotherapy, radiation, and then a special drug that boosts your immune system. But sometimes, this is too hard on the body, and patients have to stop treatment early. Doctors looked at the records of nearly 1,000 patients to see if mixing up the timing of these treatments works just as well. They found that starting the immune-boosting drug earlier—at the same time as the chemo and radiation—is safe and works great! It gives patients another strong option to fight the cancer without adding extra side effects.
