REVEAL-2: Subcutaneous Elegrobart Effective in Chronic TED

Summary: A new drug called elegrobart is showing great promise for people with chronic thyroid eye disease (TED). In a recent study, patients took the medicine as a shot under the skin every 4 or 8 weeks. The results were impressive! Half of the patients saw their eye bulging shrink by at least 2 millimeters, compared to just 15% of people who took a fake shot (placebo). It also helped fix double vision. The drug is easy to use at home and has low side effects. The company hopes to get it approved by the FDA in 2027.
