Revisions to iTOFT to Support Preceptor Evaluation of APPE Interprofessional Interactions.

Summary: Pharmacy teachers (often called preceptors) use a 12-question checklist to grade how well students work together in medical teams. However, the teachers found this long checklist hard to use and complained about it. To fix this problem, researchers talked to 15 teachers to find out exactly what was wrong. The teachers explained that it was hard to find the right moments to grade students and difficult to use such a long form. Based on this helpful feedback, the researchers created a new, shorter checklist with just 4 questions. This new, improved tool will be much easier for teachers to use!
