R.I.P. Koji Suzuki, creator of Sadako and author of Ring

Summary: Koji Suzuki, the famous Japanese author who created the terrifying story Ring, has passed away. He came up with the idea after imagining teenagers suddenly dropping dead. While the popular movies focused on the creepy ghost girl Sadako crawling out of a TV, Suzuki actually wanted his book sequels to be about science, supercomputers, and deadly viruses. He didn't mind when Hollywood ignored his science ideas, joking that his story was like a virus spreading out of his control. He lived a fun, adventurous life, sailing, riding motorcycles, and even printing a horror story on rolls of toilet paper!
