Robotic Single-Port Versus Robotic Single-Site Hysterectomy in Early Endometrial Cancer: A Case Control Study.
Summary: Doctors wanted to see which robotic surgery is better for treating early-stage cancer of the uterus (endometrial cancer). They compared two methods: one using a single "port" (a special tube) and another using a single "site" (a small cut). They checked 25 women who had the single-port surgery and 50 who had the single-site surgery. Both surgeries took about the same amount of time (around 100 minutes) and had very little blood loss. The women who had the single-site surgery went home about half a day sooner. Overall, both robotic surgeries are highly safe and work well for treating this type of cancer!
