Sarcoid conjunctival granuloma responding to biological therapy.
Summary: A 47-year-old man had a rare eye problem caused by a disease called sarcoidosis. It caused painful swelling and severe scarring in his eyes. Regular medicines did not help him get better. The scarring got so bad he grew a thick cataract and could not see well. Doctors decided to try a special biologic drug called adalimumab. After six months, his eye healed enough for him to have surgery to fix his vision. This is the first time this drug has been shown to fix this specific type of eye scarring!
