Sex-specific associations between diet quality and mortality in adults with diabetes: findings from NHANES 2001-2018.

Summary: Did you know that eating healthy might help men and women with diabetes differently? Researchers looked at the diets of over 5,800 adults with diabetes for about nine years. They found that for men, having a very healthy diet was linked to a much lower chance of dying from heart problems or other causes. But surprisingly, for women with diabetes, a healthy diet didn't show the same life-saving benefits. This means that when it comes to diet and diabetes, men and women might need different advice!
