Stream It Or Skip It: ‘I Am Frankelda’ on Netflix, a Stop-Motion Animated Phantasmagoria of Visual Wonders

Summary: I Am Frankelda is a wild, beautiful stop-motion animated movie now streaming on Netflix. Created by Mexican brothers Roy and Arturo Ambriz, it takes place in 1866. It follows a young girl named Francisca who writes scary stories to escape her sad life and her mean grandmother.

The twist? Her stories actually come to life in a magical "Realm of Terrors." When the monster world starts falling apart, they need Francisca's help to save it. Famous director Guillermo del Toro even helped edit the film! While the story can be a little confusing because there is so much going on, the amazing, handcrafted puppet designs and crazy imagination make it completely worth watching.
