The Contemporary Role of Interventional Radiologists in Endovascular Aortic Repair: A Survey of CIRSE Members.

Summary: Imagine a team of doctors working together to fix a weak spot in a patient's main blood vessel (the aorta) without open surgery. A recent survey asked 326 of these special doctors, called Interventional Radiologists, about their work. Most of them work closely with other experts to do these life-saving procedures. Many are even the main doctors leading the surgery! Most expect to do even more of these procedures in the future. However, they need more training and support from hospitals to keep growing and helping patients.
