The effect of self-management program with tele-nursing based on the Roper-Logan-Tierney model on self-care of hypertensive patients: a randomized controlled trial.

Summary: High blood pressure can be hard to manage on your own. In a recent study, 60 patients with high blood pressure were split into two groups. One group received regular phone calls from nurses and a helpful booklet to teach them how to check their blood pressure and take care of themselves. The other group just received standard care. After 12 weeks, the patients who talked to the nurses were much better at managing their health! This shows that a little extra support over the phone can make a big difference in keeping your heart healthy.
