The first host plant dataset of Curculionidae Scolytinae of the world: Hylastini LeConte, Hylurgini Gistel, Ipini Bedel, Phloeosinini Nusslin, Polygraphini Chapuis.

Summary: Wood-boring beetles are sneaky bugs that hide inside live plants, timber, and packing materials. Because they hide so well, they travel all over the world and cause huge problems when they invade new places. To stop them, scientists and border inspectors need to know exactly which plants these beetles like to eat. This new research gathers all that scattered information into one big dataset. It shows the favorite host plants of 829 different beetle types from five groups, most of which attack pine trees. This will help inspectors catch them before they spread!
