The lived experience of mothers who give birth after induction of labour in hospital settings in Southern Ethiopia: a phenomenological study.

Summary: Giving birth is a big moment, but sometimes doctors need to help start labor using medicine. This is called induction of labor. Researchers in Ethiopia talked to 12 mothers who had this done to understand how they felt. The mothers shared that the process brought up strong feelings. Many felt scared, anxious, and in a lot of pain. It was also hard because the hospital rooms were crowded and didn't have much privacy. The study shows that hospitals need to make rooms more comfortable, and doctors need to talk more with mothers to help them feel safe and calm.
