The WellNext Scan: Validity evidence of a new team-based tool to map and support physicians' well-being in the clinical working context.

Summary: Burnout among doctors is a growing crisis that threatens not only their own health but also the quality of care patients receive. To fix a problem, you first have to measure it. Researchers in the Netherlands have validated a new tool called the "WellNext Scan" (WNS). Unlike typical surveys that just ask an individual "How are you feeling?", the WNS is a 46-item questionnaire designed to look at the bigger picture: the doctor's personal well-being and the health of their team environment.

Tested on nearly 500 physicians, the tool successfully identifies key factors like work enjoyment, resilience, and team culture. The study confirms that the WNS is a reliable way to gather data, acting as a conversation starter for medical teams to discuss their struggles and build a more supportive, efficient workplace together.
