Two Western New York schools awarded grants to improve student health

Summary: Did you know that only 1 in 4 kids get the 60 minutes of daily exercise they need to stay healthy? When students don't move enough, it is harder for them to handle stress, concentrate, and feel their best. To help fix this, the American Heart Association and the NFL have teamed up! Through the NFL PLAY 60 program, they are giving out grants from a massive $350,000 pool to help schools get kids moving like pro athletes.

Recently, two schools in Western New York won big. Wales Primary School got $2,500 for awesome new gym equipment, and Panama Central School received $500 to make recess more active. This funding will help students build healthy fitness habits that will last a lifetime!
