Unusual Presentation of Recurrent Vaginal Leiomyoma in Pregnancy: A Rare Case Report and Review of Current Literature.
Summary: Fibroids are common growths in the womb, but finding one in the vagina is very rare. This story is about a 28-year-old pregnant woman in Tanzania who had a huge fibroid growing in her vagina. It was so big that it pushed against her bladder and other organs. Because her water broke early and the baby was in trouble, doctors did an emergency C-section to deliver the baby safely. Three months later, she went back to the hospital, and doctors successfully removed the giant growth. Both the mother and baby are doing great!
