Vosoritide Improves Growth in Children With Hypochondroplasia
Summary: A new study shows that a daily medicine called vosoritide (Voxzogo) helps children with a rare bone condition grow taller. This condition, called hypochondroplasia, is caused by a gene mutation that slows down bone growth and causes short stature. In a one-year test with 80 kids, those who took the medicine grew about 2.33 centimeters more per year than those who took a placebo. They also saw big improvements in their overall height and arm span! The medicine was safe, and the company plans to ask the FDA to approve it for these kids in 2026.
