WHO highlights the importance of addressing childhood hearing loss

Summary: Did you know that most hearing problems in kids can be fixed or prevented? The World Health Organization (WHO) says that nearly 60% of ear and hearing issues can be treated right at local clinics. Sadly, over 80% of people who need help don't get it. When kids can't hear well, it hurts their speech, learning, and ability to make friends. For World Hearing Day, the WHO is asking schools and communities to check children's hearing early. They are even making a free app called WHOears so trained helpers can test hearing right in the classroom. With simple tools like hearing aids or medicine, we can make sure no child is left behind!
